Re: Apple Care

Mine did not come with the computer, or in a box, either. Some time after I got the iMac, a chunky envelope full of AppleCare information arrived in the mail.

My AppleCare coverage was properly registered on Apple's site – complete with the plan ID, the type and serial number of the machine, and the end date of coverage. All that I had to do to verify that was to click on "Register and View Your Applecare" on the Apple Support page ( ) and log in with my Apple ID. The same page that showed the existing AppleCare coverage also had a link for downloading TechTool Deluxe.

Ditto for me. I had the exact same experience when I got my mac mini last October. And FWIW, I get a discount via my employer so it is cheaper to get AppleCare directly from Apple when you get a discount with them.
