Best complete DX lens solution?

I was wondering if could get some guidance.

I am trying to find out what the best complete DX lens solution is for me. ( I have a D90)

I shoot quite a lot of landscape and portrait to give you a bit of help.

I started off with the 18-105mm f3.5-5.6 and the 70-300mm VR, but would like to try and improve this kit.

The 18-105mm just isn't fast enough at low light, and I found on a recent trip to Canada the 70-300mm wasn't either! (unfortunately I can't stretch to the 70-200mm f2.8)

After having done some research my initial reaction is for landscape the Tokina 11-16mm. For portrait the 50mm f/1.4 G. What do you think?

What I'm trying to figure out is whether I should sell my existing 2 lenses and start again and maybe get three, or sell just one.

If I did sell both lenses and got the Tokina 11-16mm and the 50mm 1.4 G what should I get as the third to give me a bit more flexibility at the longer end?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
