All the reach from this camera comes from the sensor, not the lens. Remember, this is just a 126mm lens. Hardly an earth shattering focal length by any standard. What Fuji have done is shrink the sensor to pinhead size and packed it full of pixels. If there is anything new about this lens its the other end, 4mm. That's pretty darned wide!
