When I first came here, to this forum, I came in need of advice and info. I was greeted in a kind way and was given Great advice. I also received something I never would have expected. Friendship.

There are people I have met here that I speak with almost daily through emails and sometimes phone calls. Most recently a good friend from here notified me of a lens I was wanting that was a GREAT deal in his local area. He then went on to spend his time and his money getting it and shipping it without ever seeing a penny. This man, whom I have never met in person, trusted me. I have been truly blessed by him and others here. You who participate here often offer more then just advice. Many of you also offer kindness and friendship. For this I thank you.

My life is richer because of the KM Forum. Not just the forum though, but because of the people here, as well as some that are no longer here. To you whom I call friends, Thank you! :-)
This is why I appreciate the KM Forum and all that is offered here.

I have also met friends through this forum and am very grateful for that. I stop by from time to time but school, my daughter and photography keeps me busy. On a good note, I graduate in a couple of weeks and will have some free time. I think that we all just get busy sometimes and forget to stop by and show our appreciation by posting a thread with photos, posting on another member's thread, or simply offering advice.

Thanks Rich.

... maybe it's according to the fact that here, no more competition for new models or so... then no more competition between the writer? Do I'am wrong ;-)

No, I think its a combination of two things. 1) Most people here are just plain nice. and 2) People here are incredibly intelligent. Much more so then other forums ;-)

Your very lucky - and I might be joining you soon...

I have been a memeber of the KM (not dslr) forum for about 7 years, and sadly it has recently started to become a little 'nasty'.

I still use my KM A2 bridge camera most of the time, but also bought a Sony A100 dslr when they were first launched and some expensive glass a while back to compliment it.

I can't handle the Sony forum at all, but often pop in here for read and to try and find answers to 'common' problems and get inspiration. As I don't have a KM dslr I don't feel I have a right to post normally, but just wanted to say...

Nice community. ...just how it should be.

+1

I wonder why the "K/M Talk" folks are so ornery?

Can all the nice people from the K/M talk forum post our non-SLR images in here and just leave the haters there to hate on each other? Please? :D

Sounds like you have a lot to offer here. You are using the glass we use and have knowledge that is applicable here. Even the use of Sony is fine and has many parallels to what we use. And many of us are also shooting with Sony as well as Minolta.

You are welcome here anytime. We also have our knuckle heads here, and even those of us that aren't have our moments, but overall it's a very good group with tons of humor and experience. As you read, I have made some real friends here and am more the happy to share. Oh, and by the way, my camera can beat up your camera LOL ;-)
Hope to see more of you.
