"High" ISO Comparison b/t E-3 + E-30

First of all, this is non-scientific. Really, this isn't even a test, but an observation. Secondly, I'm not trying to create any high ISO wars between E-system cameras nor am I discrediting either camera in this "shootout". I had the opportunity to quickly shoot with the E-3 and E-30 on Saturday. Both were mated with the 12-60. Both NR filters were set to "low". The E-3 image was captured at ISO 1000 @ f/2.8 @ 1/320 and the E-30 image was captured at ISO 800 @ f/3.2 @ 1/100. The pictures weren't taken in the same exact position, the light was probably different, and various other factors may be coming in to play here. Needless to say, I was a little surprised how well the E-3 handled ISO 1000 in a crappily lit camera store compared to the E-30's ISO 800 performance in the same place. Again, both NR filters were set to "low". I'm curious - despite the apparent lack of banding in the E-30/620 at high ISOs, is the E-30's high ISO performance worse than the E-3's? I can't help but conclude that. Here are the samples.

E-30 @ ISO 800 - crop #1

E-3 @ ISO 1000 - crop #1

E-30 @ ISO 800 - crop #2

E-3 @ ISO 1000 - crop #2
