Hi Ari

I agree with paulkientz in this case. The multi-exposure mode averages the images, it doesn't add them together - that's called "stacking" and you can get PC software to do that, it's a popular technique for astrophotography.

So, you could take four shots with shorter exposure and then stack them later in your PC. That saves the camera processing them for you. Speaking of which how long does it take the camera to process and average a high number of multi-exposure images - might it take as long as taking a dark frame ?
