Makes sense to keep the cameras same mount and share lenses. That would > keep costs down and alow you a more varied selection of lenses.

Absolutely agree with this one except that it's not easy for me to find what I need in the Pentax lineup.

I don't agree with your price comparisons either, you're not comparing equivalent lenses.

The two 35's are not equivalent but there is no alternative to Nikon on the Pentax side.

My general impression is that Pentax from being an affordable solution has come to be one of the most expensive. If only the prices were justified by a proper quality control but not even that. 1200$ for the failing 50-135, please...
