Feeding Fly

I managed to get this feeding fly shot the other day when testing out my experimental concave flash diffusers, which not only give very good light, but much better efficiency and consistency on the MT24EX. It really has transformed the reliability of the MT24EX on the 40D. Gone is all that messing about with the FEC, and all the grossly over-exposed shots. Even with lots of black background the exposures stay conservative on E-TTL. The details are here.

I put a bit of honey water on a flower to see if I could get a few more insects to stay longer and work on the composition. Unfortunately there are still very few insects around and this fly was one of the few takers.
