DX does D700! (35 1.8G DX on FF examples)

Early last year I really debated on whether or not I should get the 35 f/2 or new 35 1.8G (DX), knowing that I'd probably get a FF camera at some point... Well, it turns out that the 35 1.8G can be used on the D700 for certain types of shots - close-in, mostly.

Subjects at a distance will start to show strong falloff, and then extreme vignetting - but the lens does pretty much cover the frame, except for the extreme corners at distance.

I've been using it on the D700 for family shots around the house, because it's so doggone sharp wide open, is small, and, well... works.

Some examples of how it looks on FF below, nothing artistic:

f/5, ISO 1250:

f/2.8, ISO 2000:

f/1.8, ISO 200:

Tight shot example, f/1.8, ISO 640. I find this bokeh acceptable.

f/2, ISO 640, really didn't want to hug this doll but dad insisted

f/2 ISO 640

Another tight shot example, f/2.8, ISO 640:
