There is logic there

The way the Bayesian logic works in these extreme cases, if I understand correctly, is that 2 low votes may both be anomalies, but 3 low votes are less likely to be. The average for both entries is adjusted by taking into account the average for all other entries (which I believe an entry with no votes at all would be awarded), but less so for the 3-vote entry.
