7D or 1M4

I can afford 1dmk4 but..........

I went with 7D.
I had 1ds and 1ds2 before too.

7D is better or equal in every way but maybe one. 1Dmk4 is better sealed and that is about it.

In noise they are both about the same as long as you expose just right. !dmk4 has a little more range of underexposure at high ISO but not worth 3 times as much.

On the other hand 7D is smaller, lighter and uses the same batteries as 5D2 which I also have.

So unless you need very tough camera 7D is the way to go.

The only time a smaller sensor with the same pixel count is superior to a larger sensor (aka higher pixel density) is when you are focal-length limited.
