I have the lensmate adapter and Hoya polarizer. Had them both for more than two months. They work great for landscape pics and make a very significant positive difference--much richer colors as well as better skys. Also very effective for haze in distance shots. For sunset shots at an angle to the sun, they can make a nice pic into a stunner.

It can be a bit difficult seeing the results on the LCD in bright sun, but most times I can nail it.

I also use the flash quite a bit when taking snapshots of friends and family. (The S90 takes the best indoor shots I have seen from a compact, with dialed down fill flash also helping in outdoor situations.)The shading effect of the adapter is small and can either be cropped out or lightened in post processing. All in all this is a great pocketable tool for making beautiful images.
