Still extremely difficult for digital to approach the delicacy of film... the highlight end of the tonal scale. Black-and-white medium format-and-larger film just cannot be matched, yet, by digital in terms of the smoothness of tonal gradation. So lovely.

Also, the film image has the impression of higher sharpness and greater detail that comes from even minimal grain. Adding just a hint of granularity to digital captures often yields the same result, both on screen and in print.
