Help with DSLR vs bridge cam. decision.

I'm helping my grandson decide whether to purchase a good bridge camera (ie Panasonic, Canon, Fuji 12-18X zoom) or get into the DSLR system. He listed most everything of interest to him subject-wise. But there are a few subjects that need your help. Of the following image subjects, kindly help us by rating these 1#-- as capable as with DSLR, #2--almost as capable as DSLR with good skills required, #3--can't do a very good job with most non-SLRs(this is where the DSLR wins out over the bridge camera).
A) Outdoor sports
B) Architecture
C) Cityscapes
D) Galleries and Museums
E) Night scenes(w/tripod, maybe)
F) Pro baseball

I can tell you that he would prefer the bridge camera, if it can handle "most" of these things in a decent way. He's aware that there are limitations.
Thanks for the feedback.
