This time, I didn't use my Raynox DCR-250 lens. I just used my regular Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 lens. I mounted my 50D body on tripod, then I was carrying the Tamron lens and butting it against the camera body in reverse. It was tough since I didn't have the reverse mount kit. My hand was also shaking. It took me 3 times to get the best shot. After that, I didn't do it anymore because I was thinking that I might ruin my 50D. Will our camera get ruined if we are taking a picture this way?

I can't believe that reversing does a huge amount of magnification. However, I only had 2 inches of working area. Outside were blurry. I don't know if that can be adjusted. Is it possible to achieve at least a working area between 6" and 12" from the subject?
