Black and white issues.

I have a tendency to choose when I shoot B&W, so I can orient myself in to this "B&W mood". And when I import the pictures to my raw program the program makes its own previews in color. So I tend to forget what I intended to be B&W an what color. I use LR 2.5 at the moment, before I just used Camera raw and photoshop. Is there any fix for this? I tend to Import in large batches and would not like to allways click the images to B&W before Lightroom generates its own previews!

I use raw + B&W jpeg. When I load it into lightroom I have the option of separating the B&W from the color by viewing (in pulldown menu) by size or extension.

You could also save whatever develop settings you like (presumably monochrome) and have them applied on import. Then you just have to import the monochrome shoots separately (they are likely separate anyway, and even if you have several shoots on one card you can easily select which shots to include in the current impot) and select your saved "B&W" development preset.
