Help - How to make an 7D image look good

I have trouble getting sharp pictures out of my 7D.

I am looking for 2 workflows to optimize (mostly sharpening) my images for print and for the web. I want tack sharp images.

Please be so kind to focus in your answer on the workflow using LR 2.6 and/or PS3 !!!

Setup:
Mac
LR 2.6
PS 3
7D (adjusted by Canon with my lenses)

The sharpest base picture is from a 7D combined with my 100mm 2.8 macro

The 70-200 2.8 disappoints me a bit (Best at 155-170mm - but that shouldn't be part of this thread).

The workflow should be geared towards portraits. I am shooting 100% RAW.

I found 7D sharpening discussed quite a bit in this forum but real help to get the best possible sharpened pic was rare.

Maybe your great answers can be help for a lot of people out here.

And yes ...... I will post a pic later to play with. Let me know what you need.

I also know that the pixels are smaler .......... . Just help me out! Thanks.
