the new hoya HD filters

i must say that i'm one of the paranoid that doesn't use filters on all his lenses, especially my cheap ones. and in the studio...really, why bother. in the past when i've wanted to protect better lenses when i'm shooting outside i've used hoya s-hmc or b+w mrc. the hoyas are excellent but a serious pain to clean. the b+w are also nice and a lot easier to clean.

anyways, i decided to try out the new hoya HD filter to protect my new 105VR. i've had the lens for close to a month but have never shot in any conditions that would justify using a filter. today i decided to put the it on my new 105VR for shooting outside in the rain and crud...and i must say, not only is this filter easy to clean but i swear it doesn't collect nearly as much dust and crap! i was also using my 35/1.8 which had a hoya s-hmc on it and it was noticeably dirtier. some interesting mojo on this filter...i'm impressed.
