Baffle on legacy lens on front of entry lens
The idea behind "baffling" is to minimize stray light from entering the back chamber where the sensor is.
Instead of hard work figuring out a how big the baffle diameter should be between the exit lens and the sensor and building a clever durable solution I was wondering if there could be an easier solution:
Say the filter diameter is 52mm on the legacy lens only half the diameter is important, that is 26mm. This is because the angle of view is only half compared to 35mm film. So couldn't you just put a 52mm to 30mm adapter ring and a 30mm lens hood in front of the lens.
Wouldn't that produce exactly the same effect? What do you think?
