What are they thinking at Canon?

70-200 f2.8L II?

Were there lot's of complaints about the old version?

It seems like Canon has decided on a Zoom Only lens plan for their cameras, except for specialty lenses. All they've done in the last several years is update L lenses and introduce new low end zooms. Are they out of the non-L prime market altogether?

Will they ever come up with an IS version of a fast prime? If they want to make a stir they should come up with a 135f2 IS or 50mmf1.4 IS.

They still haven't answered Nikon's 14-24.

With so many potential products why do they keep going back to the same stuff? Are there that many people who want a 70-200 f2.8 IS lens that haven't already bought one, will those who have one want another?

Love the cameras, baffled by the camera company.
