Help me choose: nikon 60mm 2.8 micro for portraits ?

I own a D90 + 50 f1.8 + 35 f2 + 16-85 VR + 55-200 VR.
I'd like to have a better lens for portraits.

I know that there is the excellent 85mm f1.8 (cant afford the 1.4 version) but I'm afraid that 85mm on DX is a little too long.

Another thing that I don't like is the minimum focus distance of the 85 mm (about 80 cm)

So the only alternative is for me the new Nikon 60mm 2.8 AF-S micro or the older 60mm 2.8 AF-D micro that in DX is 90mm equivalent (a good focal for portraits I think)

Now the questions about the two 60mm 2.8 (AF-S or AF-D)

1. Are they good lens for portraits ? (heads and shoulders)
2. Which one to choose ? The newer AF-S or the older AF-D ?

3. I know that those lenses are optimized for close focus... BUT will I be able to focus properly people ?
4. I own the 50 1.8 ... will the 60mm be a waste of money ?
5. In the end: do you approve my choice of those two lenses ?

Thanks all you for reading !

Have a nice day and a better 2010 !
