Just start walking, day or night you'll find plenty to photograph. Outside, just be there at dawn or dusk and something will present itself, you really can shoot at night without a tripod on the strip. Don't try to shoot in the casinos but if you don't draw attention to yourself by carting around every piece of equipment you own you won't have problems in most non-gambling areas inside the big hotels. They will try to protect their high rollers and prominent clientèle as well big name shows are restricted but most lounge acts can be photographed. You really need transportation to get away from the city to places like Redrock, Mount Charlston, Lake Mead and a lot more that the area has to offer. You'll need much more time too so you have plenty of reason to go back...
