I use Noise Ninja for years and tested some months ago TopazDenoise. Generally it is praised and has good results with some reviews claiming it the best of the available solutions.

My personal experience (certainly it can be different for others):

1) I did not perceive any better results than Noise Ninja - mainly if you know to work with NN setup outside the default values

2) TopazDenoise is veeery slow (as mentioned previously)

3) If you have a major area underexposed, near detailless, Topaz constructs a strange pattern in the area, Noise Ninja presents ramdom artifacts

I decided to stay with Noise Ninja after the expiration of my try out period.
