Photoshop

When I had a super-zoom bridge cam, I was always looking to remove noise. So... I bought Neat Image. Problem was... it de-noised the entire picture. Subsequently, I got a copy of Photoshop Elements (for reasons other than noise reduction) and I found an added bonus... it had an NR filter built-in and it was effectively much better since I could select the area(s) to apply the NR. Maybe the new versions of NR software can do this, but frankly I'm not interested; Photoshop (I use the old v4 Elements) does what I need in this regard. Typically, with the D300, I only need to apply NR to the sky in a few limited situations.
