How about a Nikon 12-24 with a 16:9 adapter? All of the lens reviews indicate that its easily the best WA zoom made. The adapter may take a wait, but the quality seems to be very good. Then after all comes in you can sell the 16-35 to fund the Nikon, and use the Nikon for both cameras.

You will notice that the Nikon is easily superior to the 16-35 L II
