Subject distance and DOF
I just discover with the D3S and the new 70-200 VR II in the exif the "Subject distance" value ! Cool....but not usefull in the field !
It will be nice (or smart) in the next D3S firmware:
to display this value in the data image "review" (i can make a test shot and with this value i can look in my "portable" DOF table in some situations per example)
to display the value before shooting....when the focus is done...per example!
to have a function button or menu to display the "Near limit", "Far limit" and the "Hyperfocal distance" values ...before shooting or in the image data "review....it's a vey simple calculation !!! and it will be more practical then actual "stupid" DOF preview button...:)
Do you think it is feasable ?
Sorry for any misspelling...i am french!
