In camera pretty good for fill

The flash in the GF1 is pretty good close up for fill. You do need to practice figuring out how much to use to make it look natural, or not natural depending on your intent. It's not strong enough to allow you to black out the background with a small aperture and fast shutter speed, but unless it's a full sun day, enough to at least balance foreground to back.

Works with the 20mm because the lens is so small, but I suspect with any of the zooms there would be a shadow from the lens in anything closer than 2 or 3 feet.
