Re: Canon 7D - Did I make mistake?

The 7D is a great camera and if you think long term i.e. HS and beyond you have a camera that will be a great tool for years to come. The 7D has some great advantages when it come to focusing. You may want to get a zoom in the future. You can shoot those volleyball pics at iso 3200 or even 6400 and use some noise reduction like Topaz Denoise and really get some great results. I use my 7D for baseball pics of my son and softball pics of my daughter. Even under the lights I can get great pics with some fairly slow zooms. You should try one and see how it works for you. Some 50mm 1.4 lenses don't focus that quickly on other Canon bodies but the 7D even makes it mre than acceptable. So I think you made the right decision. In a few years when you look back at the photos of your daughter I bet you'll think it was a great investment. Good tools aren't cheap but that's the same for many things in life.
