IMO releasing a successor only five months after the initial release and at the same time announcing better AF-speed would be a little tough for recent E-P1 buyers and could lower the trust for a company like Oly. Just presume they have speeded up the AF a bit without telling us the gain would be positive rumours and less price drop for the E-P1 and happier customers in the long run – at least this is what I think.

Having used an E-P2 and spent half a day recently with the guys from Olympus Japan, I can assure you that the AF speed is the exactly the same as the E-P1. Feel free the 'presume' the AF is a bit faster. I'm off to presume that pigs can fly
