All-in-one lens

At over £300 less expensive it's looking to be a really good buy. Is there a decent "all-in-one" zoom of around 18-200mm available for it, or should I think about several lenses to cover that range?

The Pentax 18-250mm has very recently been discontinued, but may be still available somewhere. It's as good or better than any maker's superzoom, slightly better than the Nikon 18-200 from the tests I've seen.

I really like mine, the convenience of a superzoom is highly appealing. The 18-250 has quality way beyond what it should have, but it doesn't quite match my 16-45 + 55-300 combo in any parameter; distortion, sharpness, colour/contrast, vignetting, speed, range. If you value convenience more than ultimate IQ, you won't be disappointed with an 18-250. If you're into image quality above all, then a two-lens kit will be a better choice. With the money you'll save over the Nikon, I'd also recommend a 50mm f1.4 for portraits and low light.
