40D --> 5D Mark II or 7D

Hi, I have a dilemma and I thought I'd throw it out to the smart folks in this forum to help me figure it out.

I've been shooting my 40D since it was released, with the thought of eventually gong full-frame at some point.

I have the following lenses:
Canon EF 50mm f/1.4
Canon EF 17-40mm f/4 L
Canon EF 24-70mm f2.8 L
Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 IS L
Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-f/5.6 IS

I have not invested in any EF-S lenses.

I have two small kids (5 and 1 years old) and I primarily shoot them at family events or outings as well as vacation. I also enjoy taking landscapes on ocassion. I've always been unsatisfied with the high ISO performance on the 40D. I am hearing from the forums that high ISO on the 7D is better but not by much. I love the IQ of the 5d Mark II but not sure if it's substantially better than the 7D to make a difference for me.

Is the 5d Mark II "fast" enough to capture my kids? Is the AF an issue?

Which camera do you recommend?
