Did you use the LCD to frame shots when using each camera, or did you use the viewfinder on the Gll?

Never used the viewfinder. With my glasses and big nose it's basically impossible. Also, I tested it and found it pretty inaccurate. Might not matter if I were post-processing the pictures, but since I wanted to upload everything to DPReview straight out of the camera it wasn't an option.

I'll tell you, if the high ISO performance and image quality continue to improve like they have with the S90 and G11, I may eventually get rid of my DSLR. I hope Canon starts improving their superzooms by giving them larger sensors. Improve their responsiveness too, and it's bye bye DSLR for me. Love it, but hate lugging the small beast around.

In my opinion the Olympus EP-1 and Panasonic G1/GH1/GF1 are the best of both worlds for people like you who don't find P&S quality quite good enough yet for their critical work, yet are tiring of carrying around a lot of gear. It's not that the cameras are that small (although they are) it's that the lenses are really really tiny and light. And good!
