My suggestion is this...

so thats why i'm searching for an encoding method that will have almost or absolutely no loss in quality, but save at least 4 times the space. x264 currently seems to be the best choice now. but i'm open for other suggestions.

The only suggestion that makes sense is another drive. Honestly they are so cheap by know.

There is no such thing as no loss in quality once you start to reduce datarate. It doesnt exist. You cant have your cake and eat it.
