--Brick walls look more interesting to me than birds flapping their wings......
I'm trying to shoot one now, but the 7D I'm using can't lock focus on the wall. And believe me, I tried all AF settings..... I mounted my 300D and it can lock focus without a problem. Should I return the camera? Can you post the the first 7D brick wall picture and make my day ?
If I see another flapping bird shot tonight I will go mad !!
--No, send it to me. It might be faulty. I will give it a good home.
--..... send your house to me and I will give it a good camera. We've been going through severe floods for the past two weeks, and many houses in our islands are lost or damaged.

Metro Manila was flooded by storm Ketsana last Sept. 26. Even as we have yet to clean up our flooded homes, typhoon Parma followed. It hit farther north and largely spared Metro Manila but it has lingered in that area for several days now, unleashing record-level rains.Thx Romy for bringing a laugh my way.. needed it and pray that things at home there are improviing. years ago we had a lil Cat 4 hurricane named hugo that flew into town ( 200 miles from the coast ) that ripped through our homes and our hearts, and i know what life is like after such. Hope all is well there and it probably should be me sending you the laugh but thanks just the same
PS I must be old because I love seeing frozen flapping wings. At least I can view those while at work!

Last night, several huge dams in the north (where I was born and raised) were forced to release massive quantities of water, and many provinces in the area is now being devastated by flooding as I type this. Thousands of people are being evacuated right now. Numerous reports of landslides are coming in. Power and communication are down, and many bridges leading there were washed away or are impassable, making aid and rescue very, very tough.
My parents are in the area and it took me hours to find a way to contact them.... luckily our ancestral home was spared and my old folks are ok. Many are not as lucky though and we'll find out the extent of the devastation in the coming days.
Natural calamities like these kinda bring a strange twist over my worries about the 7D's AF performance at BIFs with busy BG.
