"poor man's" fast 85mm lens (yet another Jupiter-9 thread!)

Hi,

From time to time I like to write these "poor man's" threads...Perhaps it's directly correlated to the fact that from time to time I also have a tight budget ;-D

However this time I like to show some of my recent shots with fast Russian 85/2 lens - Jupiter-9, of course - which many of you may know very well...not least because of unique bokeh and its great applicability for portrait work.

Actually I have now two copies of that lens, and these pictures in this thread are taken with that my newest version - which I like is slightly better copy than my first Jupiter-9 (sharper wide open). Here are some my pictures with that first one:

Price: You can get used Jupiter-9 lens for 70-130$ (ebay), Rugift.com also sells new ones:

The Jupiter-9 is a copy of the pre-war Zeiss Sonnar 85mm f/2

Jupiter-9 has also nice smoothly working 15 aperture blades! With almost perfect aperture circle!
