Noise does not exist!

Yes, noise does not exist! Why? EVERY image, on TV, paper or monitor is composed with 'pixels'. You only see those pixels when you come too close, in other words, when you magnify the image.

A cheap compact is almost as good as a dslr on poststamp-size. All discussion about noise is about size and nothing else (please forget colours and dynamic range, now we are talking about noise).

We know that an amateur never uses all the pixels because the print or screen would be FAR too big! For that it is good that the pixel-war has stopped (maybe thanks to Dpreview).

So I suggest that 'sensitivity (asa) is expressed in size of the photo, where the 'pixels' are just not visible. Then it will be more simple to choose the camera and all noise about noise will be avoided!
