My 7d experience after a few hours.

Very impressed. Mostly compared to my old 50d and some points on my 5d mkII. Checkout point number 7!

1.) Build feels better than 50d

2.)High ISO images much better than 50d, very clean indeed on RAW setting, cleans up well on in-camera Large jpeg images with no loss of sharpness when zoomed in on-camera.
3.) loads of buttons can be remapped, great addition!
4.)Image quality with 70-200l & 16-35 mkII at all ISO's esp low amazing!

5.) Focusing incredibly fast, servo with out-group zone selected on fast moving child towards camera resulted in all 10 images sharp! (8fps) (Impressive)

5.) Built in flash with FEL setting results in very balanced flash exposure on Program.

6.) Evaluative metering with spot AF on a model ship on a window with a sky background resulted in tack sharp focus and perfect exposure.

7.) Manual spot selected AF on one-shot with ef400L F5.6 X 1.4 mkII extender (taped) focus noticeably faster than 50d, with less 'hunting'. Does not focus with centre spot. All outter and next level in, all work. Not tried on servo mode yet reliably to form an opinion.

8.) Low-light single shot AF performance better than my 5d mkII, but image quality and iso slightly inferior.

Make sure u use a UDMA CF card, image preview sluggish due to large files on slower cards.

Any questions ask.
