Pentax SR explained.

Lets say like this:

Im using longish tele lens, like 200-300mm, mounted on my Pentax DSLR. My left hand is on the lens, helping focusing and trying to minimise shake, and my right hand is on usual place, at the shutter. My hands are shaking, badly. The image I see through the lens changes dramaticaly, because of shaking.
Question,

How can sensor movement (SR) eliminate bluring caused by rapid lens movement/shaking when the smallest lens movement with a tele lens 'throws' totaly different image to the sensor. Changing sensors position (the thing SR does) cannot capture the light that passed through lens 1/2 secong ago.
Please help me understand Pentax SR system. Thank You
Regards
