D300s sample at ISO 6400

That's the reason why I love my Nikon D300s, and that's the reason why I bought this camera!

The following sample photo was shot in a church (Ste. Katherine in Brussels) this afternoon in Quiet mode!

It was shot at ISO 6400 (JPEG Normal/Large) with my 18-200VR II at 42mm, AF-S, 1/60s, f/4.5, A priority, CW=10mm, PC=Neutral, ADL=Auto, High ISO NR=Low, VR=On.
Flickr permitting, the complete Exif data is available in "More properties".
Forget composition, etc.

I did a quick & dirty PP in IrfanView with Contrast at +15, Gamma at 0.87 and Saturation at +60, no sharpening ... and I also resized/resampled it in Irfanview:

This is a crop at 100% around the focus point of the same photo (out of the camera), no PP applied:

Yes, there is image noise - it was shot at ISO 6400 with a state-of-the-art camera of 2009.

But that noise is not the usual fireworks we see at ISO 6400 from other cameras (except perhaps the FX ones).

Your comments (positive and negative) will be appreciated.
