Thom Hogan's Logic and the D700

I've been reading a lot of posts lately regarding Thom Hogan's suggestion that photographers learn to get everything possible out of their present camera before jumping to new camera and that most photographers are very well served by the APS-C sensor. Can't fault these ideas, for sure. But, let me tell you a really good reason to jump to a D700. IT DOESN'T HAVE VIDEO. When I read that the D300s would have video as the major improvement, I bought a second D700 before Nikon could add a "major improvement" to it. I am so happy with my D300 and now two D700 cameras that I will most certainly skip the next generation and maybe even two generations of Nikon DSLRs.
