Re: Maybe because of the 7-14, or even better a m43 7-14 f2.8 to come :)

Top Tip** a year is a long time in professional photography these days. Don't waste your time waiting for something that MIGHT come along!!! Especially if there is something out there that can help you NOW.

Yeah been there done that:-)......interesting little thread now that I'm wandering other pastures...I still have a fond spot for the old oly's.

Dunno about you but there's not much come along in the last year that really shouts out "I must have it". Sure glass is always an issue....but there is some nice stuff from most any of the big boys and as much as I like the 7-14 and the 35-100 in the oly range af issues with the 14-35 killed that for me.

I'm quite fond of some of the older nikkor stuff including the push pull zooms...sleepers some of them and the 28-105 is a bargain if you can live with the bokeh.

I dont know anymore what it would take from oly to tempt me back....as much as I have a fond spot for them stuff like the D700 seems to have left them behind. I guess there is always going to be a place for a lightweight small camera with good glass but when I've got serious stuff to do I want something that will just deliver the goods in all lighting conditions without too much input from me:-)

Adam-T has been raving on about the EP1 but the lack of viewfinder sort of excludes that from my wish list as a serious camera....maybe I should just shell out for the Leica S2 and be done with it:-)....keep well.
