Wedding Photography- tips

Hi All

I've been asked to take photo's at a friends wedding because they can't afford a photographer (they honestly can't)...

Now I am in no way ready for this task - but they have little in terms of other options.... wedding is end of November - so I have some time to get practice in.

Could you guys offer some tips?

I currently have:
Canon 50D
17-85mm kit lens
50mm 1.8 lens
50-500 Bigma

Ordering a grip and some extra batteries (not for this task).

Not sure if I should consider an extra lens, or some filters, tripod.... wedding will be in a church - reception will be near the beach, so I expect they'll want some beach photo's.... its an afternoon wedding.

Many thanks!
