Thinking out loud about slide scanning.
It has been a few years since I scanned slides for max quality,
and in the mean time, Photoshop CS3 now will do "Raw for Tiff"
So would it be a good plan to scan as simply as possible to
a 16 bit depth and do most or all processing and/or sharpening
in ACR ?
I think that as long as the exposure is set up to avoid saturation
then skills developed in ACR could carry over to the processing
of scanned slide files.
Any obvious holes in this reasoning ?
