Shoot RAW.

Shoot RAW and have a play with all the parameters (picture style, contrast, hue, saturation, sharpness etc) until you have the "look" you want in your images. You can then dial in these settings as your defaults so that you will get the same look for all your images when you shoot.

Be aware however, that no one-size-fits-all and to get the most from your images you will probably still have to tweak them individually a bit. At least with RAW any adjustments you make you can unmake without an IQ penalty and you can also be sure you are getting the very best JPEGs or TIFFs your camera can produce.
Oh, and practice, practice, practice!
