That is a thoughtful post. Thank you.Based on what I read elsewhere, I added doubleclick.net and googleanalytics.com to the list of restricted sites. Voila, the browser can browse DPReview again!
Yes. Same place.Hi! It seems to be in a similar place to IE7, i.e. "Tools> Internet Options> Security tab> Restricted sites> Sites button".

We're trying to get rid of the Blockbuster ad (it's coming from a third party network), so we'd ask you not to block any ads. Blocking googleanalytics will make no difference to you but will reduce our ability to continue to improve site features.

I'd say that would be a disaster for the site, if I believed it was thousands.

The problem is, that it is not something that you could not notice, or ignore - as I initially tried to do.
It froze my PC in its tracks, and I had to kill the DPReview tab with the Task Manager to get the PC to respond at all.
So anyone who still wanted to access DPReview would have had no choice but to try one of the remedies - all of which, in one way or another, block ads. And now that users have blocked the ads, will they remove the blocks ? It's easier just to leave them in place !

But we still have "The Flash", the blinding white page between pages with black backgrounds.
