Hi all,
A friend of mine would like me to take some high key portrait shots for them. Whilst I'm happy to do so, I'm not particularly confident that I will come away with satisfactory results without a bit of prep, simply because I'm not a huge portraiture photographer, nor have I attempted high key more than once (successfully, but more by luck that judgement).
The specification is some head and shoulder shots. I've got a D80, the lenses as per my signature and a SB600 flash.
I have read up and found some useful guides online suggesting using a bright window as background when using just one flash, and setting the shutter speed to 'just' overexpose the background, then controlling the subject lighting with aperture.
Any tips would be welcome on where to start, how to get comfortable, any suggestions I can try beforehand to get used to it.
Thanks in advance.
