Can the 200-400 keep up with this owl?

I would say so... taken during a recent flight shooting workshop I hosted last week., thanks to Gary (Geomaticsman) for joining me and also to Harry, Russell, Nick and Jerry from Windsor! I had tons of misses, but getting a few sharp images was such cool fun... I tried the monopod to save my messed up shoulder muscles, but went hand held very quickly!

The 200-400 did a great job as usual.. the ability to pull back to 200mm was awesome.

The Af is unreal.. some of these flight shots are the sharpest images I have ever taken with this lens.. thanks to some great light and a fantastic falconer who had these birds on a string (almost)

I have a bunch of images posted on my home page on the easy to view slideshow.. just click here... (please note the jessies have been cloned out)
