Yeah, but if you use ISO 25k when you really need it, in extreme low light, then I imagine it's a different story.

And honestly, banding is far worse of a problem than noise. I really wonder why do we have to deal with banding. You would have thought that if we can clone a sheep, that we should have digital cameras with zero banding. No banding when you push at iso 100, and no banding at high iso, for that matter. Maybe I'm just dreaming here.
