Consumer Report on digital cameras is out and Sony did....

Hey all,

Not sure if any of you have read the most recent (July 2009) edition of Consumer reports. If not I found it...hmmm well interesting if not to say some what sad and humerous (as in a bad joke)

DSLRs the A350 did well but its highest ISO for best IQ was 400. Now I thought that was bad until I read that the A700 was rated the same at 400. While the Nikon D300 was rated at ISO 3200.

I checked to see if the writer of this article was named Phil, but wasn't. ; )
The photo tester was some guy named Kerry Allen.

Now Sony's P&S's did very well in most ratings and topped most of the Nikon and Canon P&S's.

Then again if the A700 had SAL1870 lenses on it. Then I can see this as a reason. Need to see what lenses were used, ack this means reading the article now.
