Premium backdrops, where do I find them?

I have searched the web and don't really see what I like. I own 5 muslin backdrops, but I am not completely happy with any of them. I need something better. Muslin may still be ok, but I need a to find a place with a large selection that is not cheap looking. I do all kinds of studio work, brides, children, families, pets, etc. Somebody please steer me in the direction of a good site.

I have seen them you hang them and the wrinkles just go away but hang on because they are not cheap

I like Amvona backdrops, they are ok quality for the price.

If you have more money to spend on great backdrops, than try backgroundsbymaheu dot com. They have some of the best I've seen.

Muslin is okay, but painted nylon velour is fabulous (IMO). Try a Photek Background in a Bag. They come in a variety of colors and are painted in "old masters" pattern on one side, but no scenics, starburst or any such thing.

The painted nylon velour responds wonderfully to light. They are exceptionally light, do not attract debris, and are virtually pill free (much better than polyester in this regard). May or may not be what you are after, but might be worth a try. My only gripe is that they don't have extra large sizes.

If you do location work and need a portable background, consider a PeoplePopper kit as an inexpensive introduction to this excellent background material.
